London, Faber & Faber, 1959, 1st UK ed., red and cream decorated hardcover boards, very good sound square tight unmarked copy except for very faint dampmarks on the very top edges of front and rear endpapers and very faintly on a paper sample that is tipped in the rear after the index...note that these marks are VERY minor and unobtrusive, mild age-toning to the endpapers, slight rubs/bumps to cover extremities, ill., 6""x8-1/2"", boards are very slightly bowed, 96pp, poor dust jacket laid in (most of the spine area gone...jacket in 2 pieces)
