Synopsis
Lois Lenski was a prolific author and illustrator of classic books for children; from picture books to plays, regional historical fiction, poetry, and songbooks, her work was always playful, ever educational. She is counted among the most influential author-illustrators of the 20th century. Bestowed the Newbery Medal for Strawberry Girl , and twice attaining the Newbery Honor, she died in 1974.
