Signed first printing of this heartwarming picture book in which a winged lion finds out where he belongs, with help from his friend Panda. THE GUARDIAN identifies Michael Foreman as "one of the best-known British writer-illustrators," in part thanks to his remarkable output: since he began his career in 1961, he has published over 300 books for children and adults. He has earned two Kate Greenaway Medals, and has twice been nominated for the Hans Christian Andersen Award. 11'' x 8.5''. Original color pictorial boards. No dust jacket (as issued). Illustrated in color. [32] pages. Signed by Foreman to title page. Binding with a bit of bumping to corners and spine ends. Light area of abrasion across the top margins of one opening. Tight and clean.
