First published April 1947 noted on copyright page, illustrated tan cloth, 4to, 63 pages, illustrated by George Schreiber, pictorial endpapers. Spine ends turn in, hint of fading along board edges; Dust jacket with price of $2.00 on front flap, rubbed and worn along extremities, a couple of tiny edge tears and a one inch closed tear at top rear edge. Set in Paris a few months after the end of World War II, the story follows Charles's quest to makes crepes for his little sister for Mardi Gras. Newbery Honor book of 1948.
