This volume focuses on how climate change during the last fifteen million years has affected human evolution and other mammalian evolutionary events. Leading evolutionists and physical geologists from all over the world who specialize in paleooceanology, palynology, mammalian paleontology and paleoanthropology address the relationships between climatic and biotic evolution. The volume contains 36 chapters by noted authorities in the field. The volume is divided into four parts - I: Introduction; II: The Middle to Late Miocene; III: The Pliocene and IV: The Pleistocene.
