One Was The Spanish-American War, Which Of Course Turned Out To Have Communists In It, And Was Therefore Too Embarrassing To Talk About For Some Decades. The Other Was The Boer War. I Just Looked It Up In Wikipedia: No Communists, Just Dutch Settlers Versus Zulus Followed By The British Empire Versus Settlers. Now I Understand The Title, "Painting The Map Red." In My Day, It Was Always Pink For The Commonwealth But Red Might Be More Suitable. For Some Reason, Canada Was Very Enthusiastic About Getting Involved.
