Gray Linen cloth covered hardcover boards with gilt letteringon front cover and spine. Burgundy endpapers. Signed on bookplate by the artist/author. Some edgewear and soiling on boards, rubbing off of cloth on top right corner of front cover. Binding tight and text very clean. some age toning to pages
DJ has edgewear and minimal chipping. Staining to to edge of rear flap of DJ. DJ is unclipped.
In his career spanning 56 years as a painter of commisioned portraits, John Howard Sander completed 450 images of American leaders in government, business, and the professions, including portraits of former President George W. Bush, and former First Lady Laura Bush. This work is based on his famous demonstration/lecture series at the Art Students' League in New York. John Sanders shows step by step exactly how to achieve a staetling likeness in a single painting session.
