About This Item
John Murray, London, 1901. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Poor/No Jacket. 373 pages (complete). A much owned and inconsiderately stored copy. Yet the book maintains a shabby generosity. The cover is much worn, scuffed, stained about all faces, edges and corners. The cover is firm and resolute. The spine and binding are stoic and secure. The papertrims and contents are foxed throughout. The illustrations are clear and eager. The pages are firm against the spine. There is debris from a previous owner but the general aspect of the book invites readership and a gentle eye. fk. Our orders are shipped using tracked courier delivery services.
