Attached to the fly-leaf is a handwritten letter from the author dated 1951. History of the Cimmaron days of Oklahoma. Herd 767, Six-Guns 680, "The autobiography of a man who rode the outlaw trail, though he does not give the reason for his start as a wanted man. His uses fictitious names for his characters.".
