Chicago: Reilly & Lee Co.. Fine in Near Fine dust jacket. 1939. First Edition. Hardcover. Orange cloth covers with attached front cover graphic. True First with 16 page gatherings. Minor shelf wear. Strong corners. Block edges are free from marks, slight yellowing throughout book. "This book belongs to" remains blank. Some foxing on the front free end paper from, now removed, acidic paper kept in book. Hinges are solid and still a little tight. DJ is clean and bright with some chipping and tearing at edges. Missing a small 1/4" piece bottom back at spine. Other books listed on back flap have been checked off in pencil (impressive collection). .
Synopsis
Ozoplaning with the Wizard of Oz is the thirty-third in the series of Oz books created by L. Frank Baum and his successors, and the nineteenth and last written by Ruth Plumly Thompson. It was illustrated by John R. Neill. The phrase "The Wizard of Oz" was included in the title to coincide with the MGM film The Wizard of Oz, which was released the same year the book was published. As such, the focus of the story is on characters who appeared in the first book.
