This is a collection of 250 poems arranged chronologically by conflict to produce a history of warfare as seen by the most eloquent observers and chroniclers of its effects. The author's choices in poems reflect the shift in social awareness in how war and battle are viewed; from exhortations to action to man's in humanity to man (and women and children). A clean very presentable copy in a Brodart mylar jacket.
