Dark red coloured cloth covered boards with gilt coloured titles and decoration to the backstrip. First published in 1902, and this being a reprint of 1933. The author gave a series of lectures at Cambridge on criminal law, of which this is a hard copy.  Softening and rubbing of the backstrip edges with rubbing of the book corners with some slight fraying. Rubbing, marks and some flecking of the book panels with fading of the backstrip. Light tanning of the text block edges and age toning of the pages. A previous owner has used this book as a text book, and, consequently has underlined some of the text along with placing notes in the margin – please see photograph.  Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
