Appears gently read, in original publisher's red cloth with black titles, spine slant, rubbing to spine edges, one inch tear at the bottom of pages 83/84, soiling at bottom edges of first few pages, minor hairline scuff to front cover else pages are generally clean, bright, unmarked and binding tight. Neat previous owners bookplate on first pastedown from private library collection. Lacking only the scarce dust jacket. One of the earliest reprints of The Outlaw of Torn from G&D publishers. First appearance in a four part serial in 1914 in the pulp magazine New Story Magazine. Classic ERB historical gothic fiction adventure novel, collectible. 298 pgs. +[12 pages Ads.]. 8vo.

Synopsis

The Outlaw of Torn is a 1927 historical novel by Edgar Rice Burroughs, originally published as a five part serial in New Story Magazine from January to May, 1914. It was first published in book form by A. C. McClurg in 1927. It was his second novel, his first being the science fiction work A Princess of Mars. His third was Tarzan of the Apes.
