Fairly clean book with faded spine. Total of 6000 copies printed. Exploits of Norman of Torn, the greatest swordsman in England and leader of an outlaw band of more than one thousand men. First printing with McClurg's acorn logo. A very nice copy of this early work, an historical novel written in 1912, but rejected multiple times for publication before its acceptance by Street & Smith's "New Story Magazine" in 1913. First book publication was by A.C. McClurg in 1927.
Synopsis
The Outlaw of Torn is a 1927 historical novel by Edgar Rice Burroughs, originally published as a five part serial in New Story Magazine from January to May, 1914. It was first published in book form by A. C. McClurg in 1927. It was his second novel, his first being the science fiction work A Princess of Mars. His third was Tarzan of the Apes.
