About This Item
Boston: Small, Maynard & Company, 1899. Navy silk boards, bright gilt lettering and decor, light rubbing to corners and tips. Author inscription on fep "To my Brother and Sister Lanier from Charlotte Perkins Gilman - with love. July 1907." Followed by a note from E. Lanier stating this was Charlotte's first visit. On the feb is pasted a lengthy handwritten note on Charlotte's stamped stationary, dated 20-8-09. On the half-title reverse is another note inviting the Lanier's to lunch and providing the subway connections and Charlotte's phone number, dated 27-2-08. The uncut pages are clean with no markings in text, binding is sound.. Inscribed By Author. Second Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/No Jacket. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
