Binding of burnt-orange full cloth with bold, sharp gilt titles on spine and on front. Very clean and unmarked; sewn binding is tight & solid, square with sharp corners. Jacket is clean, a few scattered tiny spots, and a speck on a tree in the upper left quadrant and slight wear to corners, and spine head and heel. An account of the ecology of our continent and the struggle to preserve its balances.The authors with remarkable integration of magnificent photography, scholarship, and first-hand observation explore some of the basic ecological questions of our times. 324 pages with Bibliography and Index. 11.25 x 8.75 inches.
