Boston: Houghton Mifflin Company, 1919. HB. Quarter green cloth over green paper covered boards, gilt lettering on spine and green lettering on front cover, 12mo, 182 pp. Numbers stamped top of rear endpaper only marks in book, binding tight. Covers show light edge wear, gilt lettering bright. Swan (1859-1943) was a popular Victorian writer of romantic fiction. During World War I she worked for the Ministry of Food, traveled to America to lecture on war efforts, and wrote this book on her observations. Book condition VG, lacking the dust jacket.
