Pp. xiv, 181, 24 full page color plates, numerous detailed text-figure and halftones, some in full page format. Publisher's original one-quarter green cloth, lettered in white on the spine, over white-cloth covered boards, lettered in black, folio. The text is in Portuguese. A detailed monographic study of the birds of Brazil detailing the families Rheidae and Cuculidae. No other subsequent volumes were ever published. From the library of Ralph Lima with his circular blind stamp on the title page.
