With a wonderful color drawing by Willy Ley ‘The World of October 2052’ on the front and rear covers of caricature images of the leading science fiction writers of the day, gathered together to celebrate Galaxy Magazine’s birthday with robots serving cake and cocktails, and with little space ships and alien beings enjoying the festivities as well. The illustration includes Ray Bradbury, Fritz Leiber, Robert A. Heinlein, Damon Knight, Isaac Asimov, Poul Anderson, Theodore Sturgeon, and more. featuring the work of Theodore Sturgeon, Hal Clement, Eric Frank Russell, Jerome Bixby, Jack McKenty, Dave Dryfoos, John D. MacDonald, Willy Ley, H.L. Gold, and Geoff Conklin. With “09/11” written at the top of the front cover in 1/4” numbers, else a near fine bright copy with a hint of use in printed wrappers.
