Amsterdam: North-Holland Publishing Company, 1956. Paperback. 133p., slender paperback with stiff covers, very good, in a tattered dust jacket that repeats the design of the underlying covers. With Appendices By Chen-Chung Chang and Bjarni Jonsson. Studies in Logic and the Foundation of Mathematics. Tarski, who was of Jewish background, fled Poland in the year of the Nazi invasion and became a US citizen in 1945. His biographers Anita Burdman Feferman and Solomon Feferman write that, "Along with his contemporary, Kurt Gödel, he changed the face of logic in the twentieth century, especially through his work on the concept of truth and the theory of models.
