This is an unabridged and complete edition of the first edition of 1930 but in smaller format but with an additional preface to this edition by Gordon Dillon of Harvard University and the American Orchid Society. There are 977 species in 117 genera described, a complete listing of the orchids that can be grown outdoors in the British Isles and anywhere with a similar climate including much of the United States, each with one or more species described including the plant's origin, date of bloom, growing conditions, etc. Blunt and Stearn 301.
