Gilt-decorated spines; raised bands; gilt particulars to morocco spine labels, marbled endpapers, deckle edges. Compendium of numerous small works by 2º Visconde de Santarém spanning cartography, geography, legal documents, historical research, bibliographical critiques and more. Manuel Francisco de Barros e Sousa de Mesquita de Macedo Leitão e Carvalhosa, 2º Visconde de Santarém, coined the term "cartographia" and is considered by many "the greatest figure in the history of Portuguese cartography" (Cortesão, History of Portuguese Cartography I, 23). Inéditos (Miscellanea) inscribed by the third Visconde de Santarém to unknown recipient & noting this set to be number five of special edition. Nicely bound volumes without previous owners' names or other markings. ; 4to ; Signed by editor.
