A handsome green full leather Limited Numbered First Edition signed by the author on the limitation page and numbered 463 of 1,335 Limited Edition copies. Features the stories of ten outstanding ballplayers from the 30's and 40's including Dom DiMaggio, Warren Spahn, John "Buck" O'Neil, Johnny Pesky Elden Auker, Bob feller, Tommy Henrich, Larry Doby, Ralph Kiner, and Monte Irvin. This volume represents Volume 1 of the Baseball Oral History Project by the former commissioner of baseball, author of "The Last Commissioner: A Baseball Valentine." In fine unread condition, removed from the original shrinkwrap only to ensure the signature and enclosures. Includes the Publisher's Note and Certificate of Authenticity from Easton Press. A beautiful copy.
