New York: Hill and Wang, 1959. First edition, 1959. Post World War II detailed observations attempting to make sense of modern cultural China. Illustrated in black and white. Black cloth with blind stamp cover decoration, red spine lettering, tinted top edge, red endpapers, 274 pages including index. The book is in very good condition with a slight concave warp to its covers, mild musty odor, overall surface rubbing, gently rubbed corners and spine ends, sound text block, good hinges, clean pages with no names or other markings. The mylar protected dustjacket is priceclipped and is also in very good condition with a neatly closed four inch tear extending down and right from its top lefthand corner, little to no other paper loss, rubbed extremities.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
