About This Item
London: Secker and Warburg/Octopus, 1976 0905712080. First hardback omnibus edition thus. Unclipped dust wrapper has some rubbing on front where label has been removed and there is some slight bumping to spine, but otherwise VG/VG. DW, which is not price-clipped, is bright and shiny with photo of the author on the back cover. No inscriptions. 925 pages. Practically all Kafka's writings are included in English translation. These Octopus editions were produced to a higher quality of paper and binding than is usual and have stood the test of time as there is no sign of them browning or ageing in any way. The DW is bright and unclipped and the faux leatherette binding is as good as new with no sign of the gilt lettering fading etc. Stories are complete and unabridged. No annotations or inscriptions. This is a heavy item so some extra postage will be required. .
