This reprint provides a new index. Edited by Harry M. Buten. Quarto. [2], 258pp. Illustrated throughout with 67 full-page illustrations, smaller text illustrations. Index. Green cloth, gilt. A very fine copy. The work consists of biographical and descriptive chapters, a list of marks used at Etruria and explanatory text to each object illustrated. Specific chapters cover Wedgwood's life; the invention and progress of Wedgwood's art work; designers and modelers employed by Wedgwood; clay and materials used; a classification of Wedgwood's ornamental work; forgeries and imitations; biographers and critics of Wedgwood; hints to collectors, etc..

The Argonaut was a founding member of the Antiquarian Booksellers\' Association of America and has been a member in good standing ever since.
