Frontispiece : First map of Melbourne, 2 fold-out maps at rear, (22" x 16" folding plan of the old Melbourne Cemetery and a 18" x 15" folding map of Melbourne, showing every Crown Grant and Original Sale of Land in the Business Centre of the City from the First Sale, June 1st 1837, down to the present time.), 7 maps, 83 illustrations, index to memorial graves and to the map of the old cemetery, general index.
Original cloth boards, with some bumping to spine and corners overall a very good copy with tight binding and no markings.
Includes Buckley [illustrated], the Henty family, Latrobe, an illustration of the first Melbourne Cup, the origin of the Children's Hospital, the Gallery, Library, Aborigines, local names and traditions explained.
