These are the original maroon gilded cloth bindings. Not leather.

Set is in good condition for the age.

Set has generalized shelf and usage wear, extremity abrasions. Some splits at the tops of the spines. Some looseness from use. This set is photogenic and difficult to show wear in the pictures. In good condition. Abrasions. Generalized wear. The spine color is uneven. In good condition for being over 100 years old.
