Blue cloth hardcover with gilt decorations, illustration and title on the front cover. Gilt title and decorations on the spine. Faded gilt top edge. Untrimmed. Margaret Armstrong decorated cover with initials MA lower section of the front cover. Light scattered foxing to contents. Binding is slightly shaken with a few sections starting to loosen. Previous owner inscription on the front paste down - "No. 134 Library of G. M. McDonald". Christmas gift inscription written on the front blank end sheet - Gordon McDonald Foster La Xmas 1901 To my dear papa Mabel." Gordon McDonald was a member of "The Louisiana Sugar Planters' Association
