About This Item
Albany.: WM.B. Sprague jr. Paperback. Fair. Not dated but circa 1849. 8vo. Unpaginated. 15pp. Illustrated with eight half page hand coloured wood cuts. Bound in green paper wrappers with text only. Disbound. There is some light rubbing and wear to cover and inside there are some very minor fox marks,a one inch tear on back wrapper, else a very clean good copy. The illustrations are exactly the same as for the Old Dame Trot and Her Comical Cat published by John McLoughlin in 1848, but they blocks have been recut to a slightly smaller size. As Albany is in the New York State, I suspect that the Sprague publisher copied the Mcloughlin edition. . Scarce. Size 7.5 x 5.5 inches
