About This Item
1931 Viking Press first edition, second printing. 64 pages. Somewhat scarce in it's original version.
A satiric compilation of newpaper quotes, public statements, cartoons, etc. on the topic of the US economy in the years leading up to and following the market crash of 1929. I would categorize the book as black humor, given that the editor's only "comment" on all this misinformation is provided by the two words of the book's title.
The editor, Angly, was a journalist working for the Associated Press, and the New York Herald Tribune.
Condition of the book is Very Good. The binding is straight and sound. Inside pages are complete. The main condition issue is discoloration to the endpapers (see photo).
