Description:
Amarillo, TX: American Quarter Horse Association, 1957-1985. Hardcover. Very good. All volumes octavo (24 cm), with green boards and gilt-stamped titling on spines. Books 1-5 (registration numbers 1-27,000, 1961) and 6-10 ( nos. 27,001-60,000, 1962) combined into one volume each; includes two-volume index of #nos. 1-1,612,000. All volumes include an alphabetical index and errata, along with AQHA directors and officers, and champion/supreme champion information. No jackets as issued. Text blocks and spines of older volumes are a bit darker with age, compared to the more recent books. About a third have bumping to the spine/corners, and an equal number have rubbing/light scratches on the boards. The boards of volumes 17, 33 and 34 have indentations as through they were dropped; #34 is cocked, and the back hinge of #35 is stressed.
