Hardcover. 1st printing dated 1803 from manuscript in the collections of the Virginia Historical Society. 528 pages. Original pages rebound in nice red hardcover binding with gold print . Dinwiddie was the Lt. Gov. Of the colony of Virginia from 1751-1758. With an introduction and notes by R.A. Brock corresponding secretary of the society.This volume goes through the letter to Lord Halifax in 1755. Contains a partial genealogy of Dinwiddie up to mid 1790's. This volume has Vol. 1 on spine and does not include any Dinwiddie records past March 1755. Unsure if there was a Vol. 2. Water stains on many pages around edges which does not affect the textual content and overall condition is very good. Item now in archival sleeve to preserve and protect present condition.
