Unknown, 1793. This is a Very Good (Plus) copy of Rousseau's "Complete Works." Volume Vingt-sixieme (26), part of a larger set, with no publisher or place of publication given. Containing part of Rousseau's famous "Confessions." Full leather binding, decoratively ruled in gilt on front and back; gilt titling, rules, and decorations on the spine in black compartments: "Rousseau 26. Confessions." Clean text; 478 pages; five full-page engravings. The textblock is exceptional - bright, fresh, with no foxing or other defects. The covers are rubbed at the margins, with a chip on the front cover. A nice, solid copy that presents very well.. First Thus. Full-Leather. Very Good (Plus)/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
