This book comprises the scientific publications of Zygmunt Janiszewski (1888-1920), a distinguished Polish mathematician known for his topological theorems bearing his name. Janiszewski was not only the founder of the periodical "Fundamenta Mathematicae" but also a philosopher and organizer. Thanks to the audacity of his ideas and the force of his character, he emerged as one of the creators of the Polish school of mathematics.
