Of the canonical nine lyric poets of ancient Greece, his work is best preserved. Gray coloured boards with gilt coloured titles to the back strip. Photographic dustwrapper with white coloured titles to the front panel and back strip. Softening to the lower back strip edge and rubbing of the book corners. The boards have become somewhat bowed. Browning and foxing of the text block edges and to the pages. Chipping to the dustwrapper corners and creasing to the dustwrapper edges. Rubbing to the dustwrapper panels and dustwrapper creases.
