'ODDKINS' is precisely such a novel. This 45,000-word story was originally published in an unusual rectangular,horizontal, hardcover format with fifty pages of marvellous, full-colour illustrations by Phil Parks.Film rights were bought outright by Warner Brothers, who for a while intended to make it as an animated film with director Tim Burton.The book has been out-of-print for several years now,and Koontz receives hundreds of letters a year, requesting a new edition,which he intends to do so,but sometime in the future.Koontz has also said that he doubts he will ever write another children's book.
