Small quarto, vi, 440, [2] (publisher's advertisements) pages with numerous illustrations (many in colour, from photographs). Papered boards; covers slightly marked and rubbed; extremities a little bumped; front free endpaper a little marked; a very good copy with the dustwrapper a little rubbed and creased with a few tiny tears. The first edition is far superior in production quality to later reprints.
