Subtitled "The Fifth Edition, Newly Arranged. To which is added, An Entire Translation of the Comedy of the Clouds. In Six Volumes". Volume I: [vi], 303 pages. Volume II: [vi], 320 pages. Volume III: [vi], 307 pages. Volume IV: [vi], 315 pages. Volume V: [vi], 303 pages. Volume VI: [vi], 252 pages + [44] page index. All volumes: Full speckled calf bindings. Volume numbers on spines are in a decorative red circle. Some gilt decoration to spines. Page dimensions: 175 x 103mm. 152 essays in total, together with the Clouds of Aristophanes. Owner's signatures of Wm Tredwell, 1807 and of R B Willis, 1846 on front endpapers. ; 12mo 7" - 7½" tall .
