Very Good. 8vo. 22cm, first edition, xxx,176p., bound in contemporary half calf, gilt titles along the spine, marbled boards and endpapers, circular gilt stamped library stamp at the foot of the spine, library stamps on the endpapers, some wear at the edges, front hinge broken, very good copy (ds4) An influential book, Pasley (1780-1861) was later appointed as a member of the commission to report on the restoration of weight and measure standards in 1838. Goldsmiths' 28446. "Cites a limited edition". Kress C.3813. Black, cites two later works on this subject by Palsey.
