About This Item
Agincourt, Ontario: Generation Press, 1979. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good. 8vo. Blue cloth boards, gilt lettering to spine. xvi, 314 p.p. [32] p.p. B&W photos + B&W frontis. portrait of Houston. Slight bruise to spine head. Dust jacket has sunning to spine, chafing to joints, a few small spots of wear, light bumping to extremities. Numbering the Survivors is an important genealogical work, perhaps unique of its kind in Canada. It is the culmination of more than 10 years of research and analysis on the Standish family of Ireland, Ontario and Alberta. It is not a family history in the traditional sense, although it contains a painstakingly constructed genealogy of a family whose origins may well date to pre-Cromwellian England, and certainly to the Cromwellian settlements of Ireland.
