About This Item
Los Angeles: Sylvester & Orphanos, 1980. First Edition. Of an edition of 330 numbered and signed copies, this is an additional copy with the words SPECIAL COPY FOR CLAIRE BLOOM printed on the colophon page beneath which Philip Roth has handwritten: “For dear Claire, Philip”. A finely printed affair printed on arches mouldmade paper. Designed by Grant Dahlstrom and printed at the Castle Press. Finely bound in full decoratively stamped cloth in the publisher’s slipcase. Distinguished actress Claire Bloom was the wife of Philip Roth and they were married from 1990 to 1995. Very fine.
