New York, NY: Frank S. Holby, 1906. Hardcover. Good. Number 910 of 1250 numbered and registered copies. Edited by R. Brimley Johnson with an introduction by Professor William Lyon Phelps. Includes Austen's novels (Sense and Sensibility; Pride and Prejudice; Mansfield Park; Emma; Northanger Abbey; and Persuasion) as well as her short works and letters. Complete set in 12 volumes with each volume bound in brown cloth boards with printed paper labels on spines, gilt top edges, with coloured frontispiece, each of the major novels also with 5 coloured plates, Volume XI [juvenilia] with 3 sepia plates, and Volume XII [letters] with 1 sepia plate and a double page facsimile letter, all the plates with lettered tissue guards, all volumes with black & white title page vignette, all title pages printed in red & black, brief bibliography and facsimile of the first edition title page of Sense and Sensibility in Volume I. All volumes have some shelf wear with slightly bumped corners and light edgewear, some slight fraying or rubbing to spine ends, but the bindings are tight and the pages are all clean with no markings. Volume IV has some small pieces missing from label but it's still mostly whole and readable. Volume IX has crack on inside front hinge. This is a large and heavy set. XTRA SHIPPING MAY APPLY.

Because she loved books, loved working with people, and wanted to combine the two, she called her new store Book People. In 1986, Erb moved the store to Granite Avenue in the Westhampton part of Richmond, where it did a brisk business. Former store employee David Shuman purchased Book People from Erb in 2018, and he has recently relocated the store to larger quarters in the Gleneagles shopping center in western Henrico.
