Publishers full vellum binding with elaborate gilt decoration to front board,within double gilt and triple blue ruled borders. Spine lettered and decorated in gilt. Top edge gilt,others untrimmed. As often with these deluxe editions the silk ties are missing from the boards. Overall a very good copy of this highly decorative and beautiful book.

Limited edition, one of only 100 copies, this number 46, numbered and signed by Priestley. A fine copy in the original binding of half dark brown morocco. Spine with five raised bands, the compartments with blind ruled lines and gilt tooling and lettering. Full colour decorative cloth on the boards. Brown silk page marker. All edges gilt. In the original mid brown cloth covered slip case. A fine copy of this scarce facsimile edition.

Inscribed by Steadman on the dedication page in the year of publication, with characteristic flourishes; "Eleanor. Its only paper. Ralph (Steadman that is). 10. 12. 75". Mono illustrations throughout by Steadman. Original black stiff card binding with a mono illustration to the front panel and purple and white lettering. A little bumping to the corners but overall a very good copy.
