The majority of the maps are in colour.Collated, complete.Baedeker's important travel guide to Northern Europe at the end of the nineteenth and beginning of the twentieth century, a revised an augmented edition. This 'Norway and Sweden' was first published in 1879.Looking in particularly at Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Iceland, and Spitsbergen.Baedeker was a pioneering publishing house of worldwide travel guides, founded in 1827 and still being popular today.Including 'Sketch of Norwegian and Swedish Grammar, With Vocabulary and List of Phrases' to the rear. In the original publisher's limp cloth binding. Externally, smart. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Spine is a little faded. Minor rubbing to the joints. A few light marks to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean with the occasional spot. Prior owner's ink inscription to the title page. Very Good Indeed
