Northwest of Earth by C L Moore, Gnome Press, 1954, first edition, 212 pages. Some of Moore's finest tales: The Dark Land, Hellsgarde, The Cold Grey God, Dust of Gods, Lost Paradise, Julhi and Yvala. Tales of Jirel of Joiry and Northwest Smith, her most famous creations. Book is tight and square; has minor shelf wear. Dust jacket art by Ric Binkley—dust jacket has a bit of edge wear to the top and bottom edges; spine a bit faded. BroDart protected dust jacket. NOTE: the line appearing near the bottom edge is a wrinkle in the dj protector and NOT the dj.
Synopsis
Northwest of Earth is a 1954 collection of science fiction and fantasy short stories by C. L. Moore. It was first published by Gnome Press in 1954 in an edition of 4,000 copies. The collections contains stories about Moore's characters Northwest Smith and Jirel of Joiry. The stories all originally appeared in the magazine Weird Tales.
