Very Good. 4to. 28cm, [ii],150-220p., plus 3 plate views (inc. frontis) &34 plates containing 68 illustrations, with tissue guards, incontemporary half black morocco grain leather, wide gilt decoratedraised bands, gilt titles, gilt roll borders on the boards, cross graindark green cloth boards, text and plates slightly toned, some transferon some tissue guards, front hinge expertly repaired and re-enforced, rear board loose, a very good copy (tr). ~ The plates are good clearstrikes, are from original drawings by Thomas Allom. The prefaceindicates this is the third volume, however, the list of illustrationsdo not match.
