Good Condition/No Dust Jacket. 2nd Impression December 1932; xv, [1], 304 pages, illustrated, 63 b/w plates, 5 maps (4 folding). Blue cloth covers with blue label with gilt titling on spine. Shelf wear, covers slightly grubby, spotting to page edges. Contents clean. "Contains a detailed account of the expedition, based near Angmagssalik on the east coast of Greenland, its sledge and boat trips, two across the icecap, three northward, studies of climate, geology, ornithology, mapping with the aid of airplane, the attempt to climb Mt. Forel, notes on the art of kayaking. The appendices including report on flying work, list of plants collected, field notes on birds, sledging rations, geology, climate studies, etc. Watkins, who wrote the introduction, had climbed the highest mountain in Greenland and later died in kayaking accident.
