London: Faber and Faber, (1966). 48pp. Sm. 8vo. Near fine in publisher's cloth and dust jacket with light toning to its spine panel else in like condition.
Later edition of this English poet, novelist, and librarian's first book. These poems were first published in 1945; this 1966 re-issue added the poem "Waiting for breakfast, while she brushed her hair."
Synopsis
The North Ship, Philip Larkin's earliest volume of verse, was first published in August 1945. The introduction, by Larkin himself, explains the circumstances of its publication and the influences which shaped its contents.
