A first edition of this biography of travel writer and novelist Norman Douglas, complete with the original unclipped dust wrapper. George Norman Douglas (1868-1952) was a British writer, remembered for his travelogues in particular. His most famous work was the novel 'South Wind', which tells a fictionalised account of island life in Capri, where he lived for many years. His travel writing mostly focused upon Capri and its surroundings; he also penned a number of autobiographies. This biography was penned by Henry Major Tomlinson (1873-1958), a British journalist and writer.Complete with an unclipped dust wrapper.A first edition of this work. In the publisher's original full cloth binding with an unclipped dust wrapper. Externally generally smart, with a little bumping to the head and tail of the spine. Dust wrapper is sunned to the spine, which is bumped to the head and tail; otherwise it is in excellent condition. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Very Good Indeed
